Saturday 3 January – Gloucester City 2-2 Evesham United
Sunday 4 January – Gloucester City Women Reserves 2-1 Paulton Rovers Ladies
Saturday 10 January – Marine 1-1 Gloucester City

Saturday 17 January – Cirencester Town 5-1 Westfields
Sunday 18 January – Gloucester City Women 2-3 Cheltenham Town Women
Wednesday 21 January – Fairford Town 1-2 Longlevens
Saturday 24 January – Lydney Town 1-1 Cirencester Town
Saturday 24 January – Bishops Cleeve 1-3 Malvern Town
Saturday 31 January – Stonehouse Town 1-1 Cheltenham Saracens
Saturday 31 January – Cirencester Town 0-2 Pershore Town

Check out this month’s XI below:

Goalkeeper – Katie Thatcher (Gloucester City Women) – Thatcher was outstanding against Cheltenham and made save after save in a Player of the Match display. Having joined City in the summer, she has settled in well and in the last couple of games I’ve seen she has looked much more at home.

Defender – Immy Mansell (Gloucester City Women Reserves) – Mansell comes into the team in an unusual position of the right side of a back three, but she has the tenacity to slot in here well. This season was going to be tough for City Reserves, but the likes of Mansell have stepped into adult football competently enough and she will get better by the game!

Defender:- Emily Owen (Cheltenham Town Women) – Owen was superb against Gloucester City and showed the attributes you want from a leader at the back. She brought the ball out from the back, got involved in attacking and kept her side ticking.

Defender – Jay Wells (Longlevens) – Wells completes a hattrick of appearances in the team after yet another impressive showing against Fairford. He looked like he could have been replaced after taking a knock, but stayed on and produced a Man of the Match performance. Wells is really having an outstanding season.

Midfield – Xavi Diaz-Butcher (Brimscombe & Thrupp) – What a debut for the Brimscombe winger. A goal against Stonehouse and a Man of the Match performance in a battling draw. Could be a big player for the Lilywhites for the rest of the season.

Midfield – Libby Goater (Gloucester City Women/Reserves) – Goater has been outstanding since joining City this summer and has been an absolute engine in the midfield. Goater stepped into the Reserves squad for the win over Paulton after missing a couple of First Team matches and absolutely ran the show. Hell of a player.

Midfield – .Oakley James (Cheltenham Saracens) – James was fantastic in the draw with Stonehouse and really impressed with how we went about his business. The amount of first and second balls he won was the catalyst for his side to really put in a solid collective showing. He was brave, he was strong in the middle and he allowed his side to tick going forward.

Midfield – Joe Richards (Cheltenham Saracens) – Richards took his goal against Stonehouse very well and supported the forwards as much as possible. He was vocal, he was working tirelessly next to James and he was one of the best players on the pitch – by some way.

Midfield – Tiger Harris (Stonehouse Town) – Harris took his goal well and in the end the left side of midfield was going to go to one of Harris, Harley Hudd or Joey Haswell and I went with Harris after his off the ball work yesterday. He worked hard and had to adapt during the game.

Forward – Harlie Price (Cirencester Town) – Price scored four against Westfields in front of Alfie and then struggled slightly to impact the game against Lydney Town and then Pershore – but his goals against Westfields were something to behold and saw him secure yet another hattrick. HP is flying!

Forward – Ethan Dunbar (Evesham United) – I was delighted to see Dunbar start against Gloucester City and was even more so when he scored a brace. He was as good as he always is with two tidy finishes. But what stood out for me was how well he dealt with the complete mismatch of a physical battle with Ben Richards-Everton. It was hard to not be impressed.

Here is the XI in full:

The subs bench includes 7 players to impress over the month and in full, they are below:

Naomi Baldwin (Gloucester City Women Reserves)
Tom Hoskins (Cheltenham Saracens)
Ben Richards-Everton (Gloucester City)
Ethan Vaughan (Lydney Town)
Joey Haswell (Stonehouse Town)
Louise Guymira (Cheltenham Town Women)

Harley Hudd (Stonehouse Town)
