FA Competitions 2026/27 season: Which clubs are entered and which round do they join?
The early round draws for the FA Cup, Vase, Trophy and Youth Cup are to be released next week and ahead of this the FA have announced who has been accepted into each competition.
This comes after the release of the round dates for the competitions earlier this month.
This season’s FA Cup starts on Saturday 8 August with the Extra Preliminary Round, before the Preliminary Round on Saturday 22 August.
The four qualifying rounds kick off with the First Qualifying Round on Saturday 5 September, before the Second Qualifying Round and Third Qualifying Round take place on 19 September and 3 October respectively.
Saturday 17 October is the date for the Fourth Qualifying Round, with the huge draw of the First Round proper on Saturday 7 November.
August will be a busy month for some of our sides, with the First Qualifying Round of the FA Vase taking place on Saturday 15 August, with the Second Qualifying Round on Saturday 12 September.
The First Round is Saturday 10 October and Second Round on Saturday 31 October, with the Third Round proper the final round of 2025, taking place on Saturday 28 December.
The FA Trophy also starts on Saturday 15 August with the Preliminary Round, with the First Qualifying Round on Saturday 29 August and Second Qualifying Round on Saturday 12 September.
October sees the Third Qualifying Round and First Round proper, on Saturday 26 September and Saturday 24 October.
The Qualifying section of the FA Youth Cup sees the Extra Preliminary Round the week commencing Monday 17 August, with the Preliminary Round the week commencing Monday 31 August.
Their Qualifying Rounds will be played in September and October.
