Check out this month’s XI below:

Goalkeeper – Emma Wiggins (Cheltenham Town Ladies Development) – Wiggins impressed during the cup meeting between Cheltenham Devs and Longlevens Ladies and once again she produced a great goalkeeping display to limit her side’s defeat to 8-0. She has been superb for her side.

Right Back – Isidora Valenzuela (Longlevens Ladies) – From what Longlevens Ladies manager, Rob McGeever, tells me, Valenzuela is only in her second season in football and she continues to impress. Very sold at right back and sticks to her task well for the team.

Centre Back – Ben Vine (Cinderford Town) – Ben Vine is the first name on the shortlist for Player of the Month after a couple of outstanding performances for his side. Vine has proved to be a fantastic signing for Matty Driscoll’s side and could play a huge part in the end to the Foresters’ season.

Centre Back – Joel White (Tuffley Rovers) – White is the second name on the shortlist for Player of the Month and for the first time, we have two defenders on the same shortlist! White has been incredible this season – in particular of late and continues to show his class.

Left Back – Josh Jones (Brimscombe & Thrupp) – Jones has played in a number of positions for the Lilywhites and after a couple of solid showings this month he finally takes his place in the team of the month – something his teammates will get reminded of in the coming weeks I’m sure.

Right Midfield – Jamol Dare (Longlevens U18s) – Jam Dare was a man possessed during his side’s 2-2 draw with Slimbridge and he is a young man with bags of potential and shows a lot of promise. I was told e has been playing in centre midfield for Gala Wilton lately, but as a winger, he frightens defences.

Centre Midfield – Mel Hoad (Longlevens Ladies) – Hoad was fantastic in the 8-0 win over Cheltenham Des and she has been on both the list of scorers and assists in the games since. Hoad could lead her side to potentially a successful final two months.

Centre Midfield – Liam Harper (Brimscombe & Thrupp) – Harper is the third and final player on the shortlist for Player of the Month after a man of the match display in the win over Cinderford and another sold game in the draw against Longlevens. He has grown into a very good step 5 player since joining Brimscombe and I’m excited to watch him continue to progress.

Left Midfield – Meg Prout (Gloucester City Women Development) – Prout came off the bench to score two for her side in the 6-1 win over Southmead but there was more to her cameo. Prout continued to battle hard and chased everything, despite the game being won. Great attitude.

Striker – Joey Haswell (Longlevens) – Haswell was fantastic in the draw at Brimscombe and deserved his goal, which was an injury time equaliser. He has produced some impressive displays when playing in the lone striker role and hopefully it continues.

Striker – Karnell Chambers (Tuffley Rovers) – I am running out of superlatives for Chambers, He is a top quality player, not just forward and he is producing the goods at a consistent rate. Expect to see him nominated for plenty in the Severn Sport End of Season Awards.

Here is the XI in full:

As always, we have a substitute bench full of players who narrowly missed out on the XI. The bench is:

Ben Saunders (Fairford Town Reserves)
Tom Ballard (Fairford Town Reserves)
Brad Bevan (Tuffley Rovers)
Kerry Morgan (Cinderford Town)
Eloise Harris (Cheltenham Town Women Reserves)
Alex Knight (Longlevens U18s)
Joel Jagger (Slimbridge U18s)

This month’s team will be managed by English Bicknor boss Ian Logan-Giles after his side put together another very good month, as they bid for survival in the GNSL Division One table.
