Severn Sport End of Season Awards 2026 – Nomination window, date of show and more!
Severn Sport are delighted to launch the End of Season Awards 2026!
For a number of years we have concluded our season with a 2 hour radio show to celebrate all things great about non-league football in Gloucestershire and once again this will take place live on Severn Sport.
On the Spring Bank Holiday on 25 May, Butler will host the programme to announce the winners of categories and celebrate another great season in the county.
Last season, we made changes to the nominations process and it worked so well, we will run it again! This process sees a full longlist revealed, before a panel of judges will whittle the list down to a shortlist before reconvening to decide the winners.
The panel are 15 individuals throughout Gloucestershire football who have been invited to help narrow down that longlist into the final shortlist.
The shortlist will be decided on the merit of the nomination – so make sure you tell us why you are nominating for the individual or team!
Like previous years, we will be announcing the shortlisted nominees everyday in the run up to the live show, as we build to be the big curtain closer in our season.
The timeline of this year’s nomination process is below:
Again, after the success of last year, we have kept things the same to make sure we celebrate all things great in and around Gloucestershire this season.
In fact, we have enhanced three categories as part of our partnership with Her Game Too – which you can read about here, with naming sponsorship for the Women’s Player of the Season, Women’s XI of the Season and the Severn Sport Future Star.
There will be 18 categories once again, including the newly added Opposition Player of the Season from last year, out of the 18 categories that will be announced during the show, 16 are open for public nominations (Featured Game of the Season and Live Player of the Season will be decided by Severn Sport).

As we launch the Severn Sport End of Season Awards for 2026, Butler had this to say:
“This is one of the most exciting times of the season, as we celebrate the successes of Gloucestershire football for the season.
After the way last year’s awards went, I wanted to do the same again and yet thankfully we have still had enhancements to proceedings with the partnership with Her Game Too.
We have had an increase of female representation in the Future Star category alongside the Women’s Player of the Season and Women’s XI of the Season categories – it is fantastic to be able to attribute their name to those specific categories.
By bringing the show forward to the Spring Bank Holiday Monday it will mean that our season will be completed in May and not lingering over into June which means we conclude over coverage in a timely manner – which is always a good thing!
In the next week or so I will be getting the nomination form ready, as well as assembling the panel to get them ready to ultimately decide the shortlist then winners.
It is an exciting two months ahead and I cannot wait to get started!”
Nominations open at 8am on Easter Monday and will close at midnight on Saturday 2 May
