Speaking about the latest nominees to come completely from the public nominations, Butler had this to say:
“AEK Boco Ladies have been one of my favourite sides to watch this season. They have had the ability to play in different ways – whether needing to play on the front foot and control a game, or relying on the counter attack against more possession dominant sides.
That versatility is why so many of the Boco players received nominations in the public window, and it wasn’t a surprise to me to see a number of those mentioned in this post to receive multiple nominations.
In reality, nearly the whole squad received a nomination and the likes of Jess Stirling, Char Daly and Lucy Atkinson are extremely unlucky to have not also been shortlisted.
They have had a wonderful season and the success is deserved!”
Check back tomorrow morning when we will be announcing the next batch of nominees in this year’s End of Season Awards!
