This Saturday sees the second Robert McTaggart Memorial Rugby Union Match, with Gloucester All Blues set to play Old Cryptians.

The All Blues Sports and Social Club will host a family fun day on Saturday afternoon, with the game taking place at half 1 – with all proceeds going to MIND.

McTaggart, who was a popular member of the club after a solid career on the local rugby scene passed away two years ago in October and after hosting the first memorial game last summer, the club are hosting another event to celebrate his life.

The club will be open from 12:30, with food & drinks, live entertainment and bouncy castle running throughout the day.

On the JustGiving page, the McTaggart family explain their chosen charity and why the event means so much to them in order to honour their late father.

“We have chosen MIND as it’s a cause close to our hearts. Our Dad chose to take his own life in October 2022 following several years of struggling with his mental health. Unfortunately he felt like he couldn’t reach out, and we want to do our part to make sure this doesn’t happen to any other families. We want people suffering with their mental health to get the support they need and deserve. Help us support MIND to reach that goal.”
