  3. Firefox (11/2)

Pulled up: Jeriko Du Reponet

A great start for a couple of our tipsters, with Mr Slimbridge AFC scoring 3 points for picking the winner, whilst Money Man Ash also had the third place so scored 4 points.

All of Sweet Prince, PLFC, Top Trotters and Cant Bowl. Bat at No. 8 all had the winner, but also tipped the pulled up horse, so only scored 1 point – as did SPM27, who tipped Firefox to place.

Ultima Handicap Chase

  1. Chianti Classico (6/1)
  2. Twig (28/1)
  3. Meetingofthewaters (6/1)
  4. Famous Bridge (25/1)

Pulled up: Eldorado Allen, Busselton, Victtorino, Gervey, Stumptown, Monbeg Genius, Lord du Mesnil, Eklat De Rire

Faller; Trelawne

A howler for a number of our tipsters, with Sweet Prince, Bacon and Money Man Ash all having two horses who failed to finish, scoring -4 points.

No luck catching them swans then, Top Trotters and SPM27 scored -2 points for having a selection pulling up, as well.

PLFC and Can’t Bowl, Bat at No.8 both had the winner but also had a pulled up horse, so they scored 1 point each, whilst Mr Slimbridge AFC had the winner and scored 3 points, and The Fox also had a place, so scored 4 points.

Unibet Champion Hurdle

  1. State Man (2/5 Fav)
  2. Irish Point (9/2)
  3. Luccia (33/1)

Pulled up: Iberico Lord

Big points all round here! 3 points for No luck catching them swans then, whilst Can’t Bowl, Bat at No.8 and SPM27 scored 5 points for having the forecast.

A number of the tipsters used their double points on State Man, so Sweet Prince and Money Man Ash scored 6 points.

All of Bacon, Top Trotters and PLFC claimed 8 points for getting the forecast and using their double points boost on the win part of the selection.

The big winner was Mr Slimbridge AFC who also had the forecast and used his double points boost, as well as naming State Man as his antepost tip, therefore scoring 12 points in all.

The Fox was the only one to take on State Man and ended up picking the pulled up selection, so scored -2 points.

With the day one races left, two tipsters were to see their antepost tips run in the Mares Hurdle.

Mares Hurdle

  1. Lossiemouth (8/13 Fav)
  2. Telmesomethinggirl (22/1)
  3. Hispanic Moon (40/1)

Straight forward and 6 points for both SPM27 and Top Trotters

Here is how the table looks after day one:

An unreal day for Mr Slimbridge AFC has him top of the tree, making use of his double points boost and antepost tip to mean he is the one to catch.

Top Trotters, SPM27 and PLFC are the best of the chasing pack, whilst The Fox, No luck catching them swans then, Sweet Prince and Bacon will be looking to improve dramatically.

Check back tomorrow morning to see the selections for Day Two of the Severn Sport Tipster League!
