Check out this month’s XI below:

Goalkeeper – Aimee Glover (Downend Flyers Women) – Goalkeeper was tough. But Glover’s performance in the defeat to AEK Boco was the best individual performance out of the goalkeepers this month so she had to go in! Incredible keeping and was unfortunate to concede a late winner.

Right Back – Ben Minnican (Chalford) – The first name on the teamsheet this month and the first name on the shortlist for Player of the Month after a great couple of showings. Minnican has been very consistent and even went and added goals to his game last weekend!

Centre Back – Danny English (Longlevens 5ths) – In a month full of County Cup final action, Danny English epitomised everything good about Longlevens 5ths, or “the TQs” as they are also known by! Very solid, hard-hitting and a real leader on the field.

Centre Back – Alex Condon (AEK Boco Ladies) – Condon compliments English here as she is a young player still learning and developing into the adult game – but equally as impressive. Two great defensive displays including the County Cup final win against Cheltenham.

Left Back – Millie Lacey (AEK Boco Ladies) – Lacey is the second player shortlisted for Player of the Month after two great performances for her side. For a player so young, she is so determined and confident on the pitch – she has a bright future for sure!

Right Midfield – Ryan Dunn (Longlevens 5ths) – The real life Benjamin Button is getting better with age. Dunn is a joy to watch and continues to perform at an incredibly high level – despite being a veteran. Took his goal well in the County Cup final and considering I first watched him as a full back for Levens, the fact he has about 30 goals this season is incredible.

Centre Midfield – Mel Hoad (Longlevens Ladies) – Mel Hoad has improved the standard of a title winning side, since joining Longlevens Ladies. So far she has shown she can do it all, create, score goals, get stuck in and defend. A real asset in the team. The third player on the Player of the Month Shortlist.

Centre Midfield – Courtney Adams (AEK Boco Ladies) – I was very impressed with Courtney Adams in the win at Downend Flyers and then her performance off the bench in the County Cup final was equally as eye-catching. A calming influence in a young side, helps, and Adams provides that alongside bags of ability.

Left Midfield – Amelia Dudding (Cirencester Town Ladies) – Dudding was fantastic in the win against Tuffley to win the league. Whilst she played through the middle on the day, she was that good I couldn’t leave her out! Outstanding.

Striker – Andy Maryon (Chalford) – Maryon is very unlucky to have not been included in the Player of the Month shortlist. He is back playing with a smile on his face and what impressed me the most is his off-the-ball work for the team. Against two good sides in Longlevens Reserves and Dursley he won all of his headers and worked hard for his goals.

Striker – Craig Norman (Cinderford Town) – A Man of the Match performance from the Cinderford Town captain inspired his side to victory in the play-off final, on a memorable night for the Foresters! Outstanding from Norm!

Here is the XI in full:

As always, we have a substitute bench full of players who narrowly missed out on the XI. The bench is:

Rob Poole (Longlevens 5ths)
Alex Titcomb (AEK Boco Ladies)
Will Tainton (Slimbridge U18s)
Ryan Hiller (Cinderford Town)
Lorraine Smith (Longlevens Ladies)
Spencer Martin (Longlevens Reserves)
Toby Holland (Bishops Cleeve)

This month’s team will be managed by Cinderford Town manager Matthew Driscoll after a sensational night at Wotton Bassett. An incredible night saw them gain promotion and cap a quality season. He narrowly pips AEK Boco Ladies Manager Abi Nicholas, who has her side on the brink of the league title.
