Severn Sport Player of the Month – December 2023
The Severn Sport Player of the Month is back and this season, we are going at it alone!
After having the award as a sponsored award for the last two seasons, we have brought the award back for the 2023/24 season – solely provided by Severn Sport.
As usual, the Player of the Month shortlist is made up of three players included in the Team of the Month for that month – check out December’s Team of the Month here.
The winner is presented with the award and an image of them receiving the POTM trophy is then shared on Severn Sport’s social media during the following month.
This season’s winners include Longlevens winger Shiyak Sutherland, Gloucester City Women Development Captain, Nicole Lewis and Slimbridge winger Rudi McKinnon.
So let’s check out this month’s shortlist
Harry Emmett (Gloucester City) – The first on the shortlist for Player of the Month after a number of stand-out performances in December. Many doubted him when he signed for the National League North side, but he is playing without fear and with confidence.
Ben Hands (Slimbridge) – Hands is the second player on the shortlist for Player of the Month after a couple of great showings. He was very good in the win at Tuffley and had to do a job at centre half for his side too. Then he scored against Longlevens and despite defeat, was one of the stand-out players on the day.
Karnell Chambers (Tuffley Rovers) – The third and final player on the shortlist for Player of the Month after having a fantastic month. Goals, assists and helping his side produce some fantastic form during December. He is still full of quality.
Check out Severn Sport’s social media during the month to see who is named Player of the Month for December and check back at the end of January for the next shortlist for the award!
