Whilst our sides are returning for pre-season training, throughout non-league and grassroots football, leagues are confirming their constitutions for the upcoming campaign.

In typical fashion, the Hellenic League have seen late changes to their line-up for the 2024/25 season.

Last Friday, Hereford Lads Club announced on social media that they would be withdrawing from the Hellenic League with immediate effect, citing financial constraints and a split of opinions in the club’s committee as reasons for the overall decision.

The announcement brought questions around what the Hellenic League would do. Would they run the Premier with 19 teams? Would they promote from Division One or would they even reprieve Wantage Town – who finished bottom of the Hellenic Premier this past season?

Well the decision looks to have been made to promote SC Inkberrow, the beaten play-off finalists from Division One.

The club announced on social media on Wednesday night that they had accepted promotion into step 5 and the Hellenic Premier for the forthcoming season.

So unless there are anymore changes, the Hellenic League looks set to run it’s Premier Division with 20 teams and Division One with now 19 teams with FC Bristol & Moreton Rangers withdrawing from the Hellenic League – as confirmed to member clubs at the recent league AGM.
