Speaking about the latest nominees to come completely from the public nominations, Butler had this to say:

“Fairford Town Reserves were always going to be up there for the Hellenic Div Two West title, but it is always tougher to get over the line.

Dan and Sean have both put so much time and effort into building a good squad at Cinder Lane and they have a number of young players who have and will go on to appear for the First Team over time.

They have had a great first season and they will be looking to build on that next term.

I have been a fan of Fin since I first saw him playing for Slimbridge U18s and I have been watching his career closely ever since.

He is already one of those players who teammates will love to play alongside and will want to go onto the pitch with. He is a quality player on and off the ball and has a great future ahead of him…although the present isn’t too bad either!”

Check back tomorrow morning when we will be announcing the next batch of nominees in this year’s End of Season Awards!
