FA Cup First Qualifying Round draw: Gloucester City to host Mangotsfield, Cleeve to face Poole Town

Gloucester City and Bishops Cleeve have been drawn at home in the FA Cup First Qualifying Round, with Cirencester Town on the road again.

City enter the competition and will host Hellenic Premier side Mangotsfield United at the KMM Energy Stadium, whilst Cleeve will be home again.

Cleeve secured their spot in the First Qualifying Round by scoring three goals in the final fifteen minutes to come from behind to beat Wallingford & Crowmarsh 3-1 at Kayte Lane – with Aaron Evans-Harriott, Reegan Messenger and Charlie Holliday sealing the comeback.

The reward for the Mitres is a home tie against Southern Premier side Poole Town on 5 September.

Elsewhere, Cirencester Town were victorious on the road against step 4 side, Marlow, thanks to Ed Scott’s second half header and will be on the road again – this time heading to Gosport to take on Wessex League side, Fleetlands.

Both Longlevens and Slimbridge are in midweek replay action this week, after both drew 2-2 against their respective opposition.

Levens came from 2-0 down to draw at Winslow United, with Gino Valenti bagging a brace to set up a replay at Saw Mills on Wednesday evening, whilst Slimbridge were 2-1 ahead of Milton Keynes Irish thanks to efforts from Leighton Green and Olly Sully – but an 86th minute equaliser means they mead to Milton Keynes on Tuesday night.

Should they be victorious, Longlevens will host Southern League side, Swindon Supermarine, whilst Slimbridge will travel to the winners of Baffins Milton Rovers or Hartley Wintney in the next round.
