Check out this month’s XI below:

Goalkeeper – Amy Prueitt (Longlevens Ladies) – Prueitt was superb in defeat against an experienced and potent Boco Reserves front line and without her it could have finished double digits. Really impressive from the keeper in a very good game.

Defender – Kay Day (Newent Town Women) – Outstanding from Day against a Civvy side who have gone on to complete a league and County Cup double. Between her and Rubie Leeman they kept their visitors at an arms length throughout and Day was an unlucky loser in a close match. On another day, Day gets the result her performance definitely deserved.

Defender:- Daniel Leadbitter (Gloucester City) – Leadbitter was fantastic in the play-off win over Poole. Filling in at centre half after Jamal Mohammed was ruled out he stepped in and didn’t put a foot wrong. He would have woken up on Thursday morning ever so sore, but he has saved some of his best performances til last this season.

Defender – Toby Boakes (Longlevens U18s/Res) – Consistenly good is Toby Boakes. The ability is there, the mentality is there and I just rate him so highly. A goalscoring centre back who is an asset in both boxes, he is potentially about to win the GNSL Division One title and deservedly so.

Right Wing – Theo Browne (Slimbridge U18s) – Browne was unlucky to not win the Player of the Month award for March, but he has done his chances to be in the running for April with a dominating display against Longlevens to win the league title for his side. It is very, very easy to be impressed with how well he has played lately and next season could be a big one for him.

Midfield – Soyam Sherchan (Longlevens & Reserves) – Goals for the First Team and Reserves side, Soyam makes the team after a consistent April that saw him play and play well in key matches during the month. He has had a great campaign in his development and will be looking to kick on next season.

Midfield – Lily Pate (AEK Boco Ladies Reserves) – Two absolutely stunning effort from Pate saw her side stretch to a good win over Longlevens and her overall play outside of the goals was outstanding. She received the plaudits from Boco on social media so you could see how much she is appreciated by her teammates.

Midfield – Kaydee Wheeler (Cheltenham Civil Service Ladies) – I enjoy watching Kaydee Wheeler play because she plays with a smile on her face one minute then flies in for a tackle the next and she guided her header beautifully into the bottom corner at Newent. She has been with the club for the last few seasons and is clearly loved by everyone in the side.

Left Wing – Jess Brown (Cheltenham Civil Service Ladies) – Jess Brown is so good to watch. A winger who loves to take her marker on, is very direct and has consistent end product – what’s not to love! Brown sets a very high standard and is unsurprisingly the top scorer in GCWFL Division Two.

Forward – Theo Bevan (Longlevens, Reserves & U18s) – March’s Player of the Month continues to operate at a high level, producing goals for Longlevens’ First Team, Reserves and U18s sides. He is one to watch now and next season for sure. Bevan can score all sorts of goals and is a constant threat all over the park.

Forward – Harry Wootten (Chalford 4ths) – Chalford 4ths needed a win in their final game and up stepped Wootten to score a hattrick inside the first twenty minutes and what stood out for me was the ability to score all kinds of goals. Close range efforts from corners, running in behind and having the presence of mind to lob the keeper and when your striker can convert three chances in quick succession then you are onto a good thing.

Here is the XI in full:

The subs bench includes 7 players to impress over the month and in full, they are below:

Laura Cox (Longlevens Ladies)
George Peare (Cirencester Town)
Ryan Pilsbury (Bishops Cleeve U18s)
Daniel Cooke (Chalford 4ths)
Joe Hanks (Gloucester City)
Aimee Clark (AEK Boco Ladies Reserves)
Warren Mann (Tuffley Rovers Reserves)

This month’s team will be managed by Slimbridge U18s boss Kieran Brice-Ingles after his side secured a league and HFA Giantkillers Cup double – edging out Slimbridge First Team duo, Tom Deakin and Michael Palmer.
