Check out this month’s XI below:
Goalkeeper – Harvey Need (Cheltenham Saracens) – A Man of the Match display from Need has him edging out Ollie Elliott of Dursley Town in this month’s team. A crucial showing against Alcester inspired Sarries to a big win, which they were able to use for a number of crucial results in September.
Right Back – Anais Taylor (AEK Boco Ladies) & Left Back – Alexei Turner (Paulton Rovers Ladies) – During the Women’s FA Cup tie, Taylor was outstanding, as was Turner. These two were up against each other for most of the tie and their battle was full blooded and was full of tough tackles. Both worthy of spots in the team.
Centre Back – Tom Hoskins (Cheltenham Saracens) – Hoskins impressed Alfie throughout the month, including a Man of the Match display in the unlucky penalties defeat against Fairford Town in the Vase. He is a great leader of the pack at Sarries and when he is on it, he is an incredible defender.
Centre Back:- Sam Sullivan (Gloucester City U18s) – Sullivan had a superb month, keeping a FA Youth Cup clean sheet, scoring goals leading a very good City U18s into battle across the three games we saw them play in this month. He is developing well and after appearing for City in pre-season, he is being earmarked as one to keep an eye on for sure.

Midfield – Joe Richards (Cheltenham Saracens) – Richards is the third of the Sarries trio to have stood out for Alfie throughout the month and pitched in with a crucial display, including an assist for the leveller, against Stonehouse Town. A Man of the Match display saw Richards make the shortlist for the team straight away.
Midfield – Alex Knight (Longlevens) – Three superb performances this month Knight make the team of the month. He produced a great goalscoring performance against Dursley in the Reg Davis Cup Semi Final, before a cameo in the FA Vase defeat against Slimbridge and would have thought his late effort was going to be the winner. Knight then scored his penalty and whilst his side would go on to lose, he earned a start which saw him put in a MOTM display against Royal Wootton Bassett and was unlucky not to have had a goal there too!
Midfield – Lewis Vye (Gloucester City U18s) – A superb month from Vye. He has been included in match day squads for Gloucester City first team and that has generated confidence he is taking into his U18s displays. Bags of goals in September, plenty of chances and some really impressive showings from the Frampton man.
Forward – Meg Bloomer (AEK Boco Ladies) – Bloomer was outstanding in the Women’s FA Cup win against Paulton Rovers and in her 65 minutes, she was unplayable. Two goals, a number of assists and a constant threat as part of potent front line. Boco are flying and she is one of the reasons for it.
Forward – Brad Martin (Longlevens) – Brad Martin is back. Three goals and three assists in September has helped with some incredible form for his side, winning four league games in a row and unlucky to lose on penalties in the Vase. It is not a coincidence that Levens get results with Martin get’s going. Long may it continue.
Forward – Aimee Clark (AEK Boco Ladies) – Clark is exceptional. Two well taken goals against Paulton and on any other day she scores four or even five goals. With the fact goals are being shared around the forward line for Boco, Manager Abi Nicholas has a job to keep them all happy, but Clark has such a high standard for herself you know she will work hard to ensure she is first name on the team sheet.
