Cup action graces Thornhill Park on Thursday night as Slimbridge u18s take on Kidderminster Harriers u18s in the HFA Giantkillers Cup Quarter-Final.

It’s the first ever meeting between the two sides with both teams heading into the game on the back of some inspirational form and big wins already in the competition.

HOW THEY GOT HERE

Slimbridge u18 5-0 Stourport Swifts u18 / Hereford u18 0-2 Slimbridge u18

Yet to concede and not finding it hard to hit the back of the net has helped see the young Swans through their first two rounds.

A professional performance saw Slimbridge see off tough opposition in Hereford thanks to goals from Archie Howarth and Zak Jones.

And it was total dominance that got their campaign up and running as they thrashed Stourport which saw Freddie Harris and Joel Jagger on the scoresheet around a Kieran Bennet hat-trick.

Kidderminster u18 1-0 Malvern Town u18 / Kidderminster u18 5-0 Redditch United u18

Just like Slimbridge, Kidderminster are yet to concede in the competition and have netted just one less goal then their Gloucestershire hosts.

However, Kidderminster’s progression this far was helped by a home walkover win against Evesham United u18 and will now play their first game away from home in the competition.

FORM GUIDE-

Slimbridge u18s: WWLWD

Slimbridge are looking to make it three wins on the bounce following wins over Evesham and Bourton Rovers, who they managed to put nine past.

14 goals scored and eight conceded in their last five fixtures has shown the sides hunger in front of goal.

And it’s just the Swans second home fixture of 2025 at Thornhill Park, where they have suffered just one defeat this season.

Kidderminster Harriers u18s: DWLWL

Kidderminster are also hoping to go three games unbeaten and take one step closer to the final.

But the Midlands side may have some rust sitting about having played just four games in the whole of 2025 so far.

And it’s a team who struggle to keep the ball out of the net keeping just four clean sheets in their 16 games this season whilst conceding 31 goals.

I will have live updates from the game over on ‘X’ so follow @SJY_journo for all the action.
