Check out this month’s XI below:
Goalkeeper – Connor Johns (Fairford Town) – I have been very impressed with Johns. I didn’t see Highworth too much last season, so he came to Fairford with a reputation to maintain and he is keeping it. A couple of fantastic displays made him the obvious GK in this month’s team.
Right Back – Teddy Peirce (Longlevens Reserves) – I’m delighted to see Peirce playing men’s football after impressing last season for Levens’ U18s side. He is playing with his mates and continues to produce high quality performances – helping his side to an unbeaten start and a Semi Final coming up.
Centre Back – Macaulay Herbert (Tuffley Rovers) – I nearly took Herbert out of the team after he scored whilst I wasn’t watching this weekend! But in al seriousness, he has started the season frighteningly well and after a couple of injury hit seasons, he won’t mind me saying, he looks back to his normal, consistent self!
Centre Back:- Eli Simpson (Tuffley Rovers) – One of the reasons Herbert has looked so good is his partner, Eli Simpson, has also been fantastic. Centre back was probably the toughest selection in the team, with a number of players standing out. Eli has been fantastic throughout and has been given MOTM by both us and Tuffley’s supporters on a number of occasions.
Left Back – Rylan Snelgrove (Longlevens Reserves) – Tuffley dominate the centre back choices and Longlevens Reserves dominate the full back choices. Rylan is similar to Teddy in it is great to see him playing men’s football and also seeing the improvement in him from last season. He was very, very good against Whaddon United and played his part in a tough win against Barnwood in the Reg Davis Cup.

Midfield – Callum McGuirk (Tuffley Rovers) – McGuirk is maturing into a fantastic player and is also becoming one of the first names on the team sheet for his side, particularly with how well he has started this season. He got an assist against Longlevens on Bank Holiday Monday and has made a number of big contributions already.
Midfield – Joe Stokes (Slimbridge) – Slimbridge have had an amazing start to the season and one of the players to help produce the results to produce an unbeaten league start is Joe Stokes. Very good against Fairford and Cinderford, showing his quality on the ball in key moments for his side.
Midfield – Corey Warrington (Tuffley Rovers) – Warrington is starting to become a regular in the Team of the Month, but it is just so good to watch him take players on, get stuck in and lay everything on the line week in week out. That is the biggest compliment I can give him and his recent displays for Rovers.
Forward – Tino Shumba (Fairford Town) – Shumba secured his place in the TOTM within a 25 minute cameo on the 2nd August. He has been in since. An exceptional display off the bench saw him tear Longlevens apart and earn Fairford a big win in the FA Cup. Will continue to make an impact for Fairford this season, I am sure!
Forward – Karnell Chambers (Tuffley Rovers) – Chambers is already on four goals from nine games and what has stood out for me is the hard work he is putting in off the ball or away from the goal. Against Fairford, Hereford Pegasus and Longlevens, the amount of times he would sprint 40 odd yards with the ball just to get his side up the pitch time and time again was exceptional work rate.
Forward – Casey Collins (Slimbridge) – What an impact this young man has made. Six goals from seven games and not just that, he has produced crucial moments for his new side to inspire the Swans to an incredible first month of the season. If he continues at this rate, this could be a season to remember for Collins.
Here is the XI in full:

The subs bench includes 7 players to impress over the month and in full, they are below:
Kayleigh Bromiley (AEK Boco Ladies Reserves)
Alex Douglas-Bailey (AEK Boco Ladies Reserves)
Tom Spencer (Longlevens Reserves)
Charlie Hitchings (Slimbridge)
Ed Scott (Cirencester Town)
Jack Cornell (Longlevens Reserves)
Alfie Presley (Fairford Town)
This month’s team will be managed by Slimbridge‘s Management duo Tom Deakin & Michael Palmer who alongside Ben Powell, Dave Bees and Sam Prior have lead the Swans to their best start to a season for nearly 30 years and earning some big wins along the way.

The Severn Sport Team of the Month continues next month – with the Severn Sport Player of the Month – sponsored by Cirencester Carpet Centre returning today, with the shortlist revealed later on this afternoon
