Southern League Fixtures: Cleal & Hunt start with home games; Swans and Ciren away on opening day

The Southern League Division One South season will begin on Saturday 19th September and the fixtures have been released.

In the opening round of fixtures new Cinderford Town boss Stephen Cleal and new Evesham United manager Neil Hunt have been given home fixtures, as they host Moneyfields and Sholing respectively.

On the opening day Slimbridge head east to Basingstoke Town, whilst Cirencester Town head west to Bristol Manor Farm.

Slimbridge face all three local opponents in a row over Christmas, starting with Cirencester away on 19th December before Cinderford at home on Boxing Day and Evesham United away on 2nd January to start 2021.

The Swans’ last two home games of the season will be Cirencester Town (Saturday 24th April) and Evesham United (Monday 3rd May), with a trip to Thatcham Town between those two and a final day trip to Bristol Manor Farm.

All four local sides will start their seasons on 12th September in the FA Cup Preliminary Round.

Slimbridge head to Northwood, whilst Cirencester, Evesham and Cinderford all await the outcome of Tuesday night’s Extra Preliminary Round before knowing their opponents.

Cirencester Town will travel to the winner of Roman Glass St George vs Flackwell Heath, whilst Cinderford Town will play the winner of North Greenford United vs Brimscombe & Thrupp and Evesham United have been drawn at home to either Stourport Swifts or Coventry United.
