LISTEN: Tredworth edge past Hardwicke to set up Reg Davis Cup Final showdown with Tewkesbury Town

A late Lee Smith penalty was enough for Tredworth Tigers to book their place in the Reg Davis Cup Final for the second season in a row.
Smith’s effort saw Tredworth see off a valiant Hardwicke side who had created chances to on another day cause an upset themselves.
After good chances for Ellis Danes-Rutherford, Jacob Waddington and Fred Humphries for Hardwicke, Tredworth peppered their opponents in first half stoppage time – forcing Cam Wilce into making a great save, Marley Johnson in a clearance off the line and a Ryley Mace corner striking the far post.
Then with the tie looking set for a penalty shoot-out, Liam Gale’s cut back was deemed to have been handled by Sean Clark – giving Smith the chance to win the tie from 12 yards.
Tredworth Tigers will now go on to play Tewkesbury Town in the final – believed to be played in the first midweek of October.
