Severn Sport Tipster League 2025 – Day 2 Results

The Severn Sport Tipster League is back and this year it is BIGGER and BETTER than ever before.
For the eighth year in a row, we have had 10 competitors going head-to-head in a bid to be crowned Severn Sport’s King Tipster(s) for the next 12 months.
This year, we have a league of 13 – with returning tipsters and new teams joining the league.
Today’s selected races were as follows:

So let’s see how the competitors got on!

Turners Novices Hurdle – 13:20
- The New Lion
- The Yellow Clay
- Final Demand
Even though the Turners wasn’t one of the selected races, it still impacts the league as Money Man Ash cashes in on his antepost tip The New Lion roaring home to earn a precious 6 points – an incredible start to the day for him.
Brown Advisory Novice Chase – 14:00
- Lecky Watson
- Stellar Story
Disaster for three of our tipsters! Ballyburn having a howler of a run sees all of Mr Slimbridge, Bacon and Sweet Prince score -2 points after their punt fails.
Coral Cup – 14:40
- Jimmy Du Seuil (16/1)
- Impose Toi (13/2)
- Ballyadam (16/1)
- Beat The Bat (11/2)
Pulled up: Bunting
What an entertaining Coral Cup once again and there were points for everyone (both positive and negative) except Sweet Prince, Top Trotters and Can’t Bowl. Bat at No. 8 who scored 0 points, which could be a positive really.
All of Bacon, Priday, Absolutely Clueless, The Fox, SPM27 and Hellenic Double Champs scored 1 point for a place.
Square Leg had a place, but also Bunting, so scored -1 points, whilst Mr Slimbridge AFC and Money Man Ash scored -2 points.
Pint Please Landlord had the winner and looked set to score massively, but with picking Bunting alongside it they only scored 3 points after seeing the pulled up horse cancel out the bonus points for the 10+/1 SP.
Cross Country Chase – 15:20
- Stumptown (5/2 Fav)
- Latenightpass (11/1)
- Vanillier (15/2)
- The Goffer (6/1)
Pulled up: Galvin, Iwilldoit, Busselton
What an impressive finish from Stumptown that was. Just cruised by the leaders coming to the last and really impressed. A couple of pulled up horses have kept it very interesting, though.
Sweet Prince, Money Man Ash and Pint Please Landlord scored -2 points, whilst Priday scored -4 points after picking both pulled up selections.
Bacon, Can’t Bowl. Bat at No.8 and Hellenic Double Champs claimed 3 points for the winner, whilst Top Trotters and Absolutely Clueless scored 4 points for also having the third.
SPM27, The Fox and Mr Slimbridge AFC scored 1 point for having the winner and a pulled up selection, whilst Square Leg also scored a point for having a place.
Grand Annual – 16:40
- Jazzy Matty (15/2)
- Unexpected Party (11/2 F)
- Midnight It is (25/1)
- My Mate Mozzie (13/2)
Pulled up: Nells Son
A mixed bag for our tipsters, with not everyone picking up any points at all.
Absolutely Clueless, Can’t Bowl. Bat at No.8, and Sweet Prince all scored 1 point for a place, whilst Pint Please Landlord scored -2 points for having a pulled up selection.
SPM27 scored 3 points for having the winner, whilst Bacon had the reversed forecast and Top Trotters had the winner and a place – with both claiming 4 points.
So let’s see how the table looks after Day Two:

Bacon and Top Trotters are the leading two at the halfway stage, with SPM27 really let down by their minus points here.
Can’t Bowl. Bat at No.8 and Hellenic Double Champs are stalking the top three, whilst The Fox, Square Leg and Money Man Ash in midfield.
Absolutely Clueless may start to get nosebleeds being that high up the table, whilst Sweet Prince, Pint Please Landlord and Mr Slimbridge AFC are ahead of Priday with all of them having howlers with pulled up selections.
Check back tomorrow morning to see the selections for Day Three of the Severn Sport Tipster League!
