The Severn Sport Tipster League is back!

For the eighth year in a row, 10 competitors will go head-to-head in a bid to be crowned Severn Sport’s King Tipster(s) for the next 12 months.

Tuesday brought a great first day, giving our competitors plenty of chances to rack up some early points and then the table started to take shape on day two, with a distinct top half and bottom half forming.

Going into the day these were the selected races:

Let’s see how a crucial third day went.

Turners Novices Chase

  1. Grey Dawning (5/2 JF)
  2. Ginny’s Destiny (11/2)
  3. Djelo (25/1)

Decent start for most of our tipsters!

Money Man Ash claimed 1 point for a place, whilst Can’t Bowl. Bat at No.8, Top Trotters, Bacon, PLFC, SPM27 and The Fox claiming 3 points each for the winner.

Mr Slimbridge AFC continued his great run of form with a forecast, so claimed 5 points.

Pertemps Network Final Handicap

  1. Monmiral (25/1)
  2. Kyntara (16/1)
  3. Cuthbert Dibble (11/2 Fav)
  4. Bold Endeavour (50/1)

Pulled up: Farouk D’alene, Icare Allen, Gaoth Chuil

Disaster for some of the tipsters here!

No one picked up any positive points, with SPM27 and Mr Slimbridge AFC having a place, but a pulled up selection each, so scored -1 point.

Top Trotters, Can’t Bowl. Bat at No.8 and Sweet Prince scoring -2 points, whilst PLFC and Bacon scored -4 points – with the latter having the winner as his reserve!

Plate Handicap

  1. Shakem Up’arry (8/1)
  2. Crebilly (7/2)
  3. Straw Fan Jack (28/1)
  4. Life In The Park (28/1)

Pulled up: Riaan
Brought Down: Saint Felicien
Faller: Theatre Man

A mixed bag!

Sweet Prince, Money Man Ash, Can’t Bowl. Bat at No.8 and Bacon (who has had a shocking day!) scored -2 points for the faller.

Top Trotters and SPM27 suffered the misfortune of -4 points to cap off tough days for them.

Mr Slimbridge AFC had a place, but also the faller, so scored -1 point.

The Fox and No luck catching them swans then were the big winners, claiming 3 points a-piece.

Further to the three races, there were a couple of antepost tips – although PLFC scored 0 points after Banbridge didn’t feature in the frame in the Ryanair, whilst No luck catching then swans then saw Bowtogreatness make any impact in the Kim Muir – 0 points too.

Here is how the table looks after day three:

Another great day for Mr Slimbridge AFC sees him stretch his lead at the top of the table, with an eleven point margin between him and second place Can’t Bowl. Bat at No.8 – a literal copy and paste job, except its now an even bigger lead!

PLFC are still clinging on, but it will take a minor miracle for anyone else to take the crown.

Sweet Prince and Bacon are having absolute howlers, with the latter ruing naming a 25/1 winner as a reserve!

Day four but it seems like a two horse race – with one of the horses miles ahead!

Check back tomorrow morning to see the selections for final day of the Severn Sport Tipster League!
