Severn Sport Tipster League 2025 – Day 4 Results

The Severn Sport Tipster League is back and this year it is BIGGER and BETTER than ever before.
For the eighth year in a row, we have had 10 competitors going head-to-head in a bid to be crowned Severn Sport’s King Tipster(s) for the next 12 months.
This year, we have a league of 13 – with returning tipsters and new teams joining the league.
Today’s selected races were as follows:

So let’s see how the competitors got on!

JCB Triumph Hurdle – 13:20
- Poniros (100/1)
- Lulamba
- East India Dock
Incredibly, all seven of the days races matter in the Tipster League, thanks to antepost tips and tipsters taking a punt and incredibly the day starts with a 100/1 shot beating the two market favourites, what a week!
Sweet Prince and Top Trotters had East India Dock as their antepost tip, so score 2 points for the place – whilst Pint Please Landlord took a punt and won 1 point.
Money Man Ash took a punt on Hello Neighbour and he scores -2 points after a bad final jump and Hello Neighbour finishes outside the frame.
County Hurdle – 14:00
- Kargese (3/1 F)
- Ndaawi (25/1)
- Absurde (5/1)
- Ethical Diamond (16/1)
A great start for a couple of the tipsters, with SPM27, Mr Slimbridge AFC and Square Leg claiming 3 points each, whilst Bacon and Hellenic Double Champs take 1 point each for the third.
Can’t Bowl. Bat at No.8 score 2 points for a double points’ place, but Top Trotters score 4 points with the winner and the third.
Mares Chase – 14:40
- Dinoblue (6/4 F)
- Brides Hill (9/2)
- Shecouldbeanything (12/1)
Fallers: Allegorie De Vassey
Points galore as Dinoblue finally wins at Cheltenham!
Both of Hellenic Double Champs and Priday score 3 points, whilst Money Man Ash, Mr Slimbridge AFC and Sweet Prince scoring 4 points for either the reversed forecast or a winner and place.
The straight forecast and 5 points went to, SPM27, Top Trotters and Pint Please Landlord, with Bacon scoring 7 points for having the reversed forecast and double points on the winner.
Square Leg scored -2 points for having the faller, whilst The Fox had a place and the faller so scored –1 point.
Can’t Bowl. Bat at No.8 scored 1 point for having the winner and the faller.
Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle – 15:20
- Jasmin De Vaux (6/1)
- The Big Westerner (9/2 F)
- Derryhassen Paddy (10/1)
Pulled up: Flicker of Hope
A quiet race for our tipsters, but still some points to dish out. Sweet Prince the only one to collect 3 points for the winner, whilst there was 1 point for all of SPM27, Hellenic Double Champs, Can’t Bowl. Bat at No.8 and Square Leg for a place.
The only other points scored were for Pint Please Landlord who saw their flicker of hope pull up, -2 points.
Cheltenham Gold Cup- 16:00
- Inothewayurthinkin (15/2)
- Galopin Des Champs (8/13 F)
- Gentlemansgame (40/1)
Well if anything could sum up the week it is the short priced favourite being denied a Gold Cup hattrick.
All of Sweet Prince, SPM27, Mr Slimbridge AFC, Can’t Bowl. Bat at No.8, Top Trotters, Absolutely Clueless, Pint Please Landlord and Priday all scored 2 points for their place, whilst Bacon scored 4 points for Galopin Des Champs being his antepost tip too.
The big winners of the race were Hellenic Double Champs who tipped the winner and took 6 points.
That was the races done in the league, although the final two races of the day saw tipsters take a punt!
Hunters Chase- 16:40
- Wonderwall
- It’s On The Line
- Willitgoahead
A tough week for Absolutely Clueless ends with their Have A Punt shot Rocky’s Howya coming absolutely nowhere, -2 points for that.
Martin Pipe Handicap Hurdle – 17:20
- Woodhooh
- Act of Authority
- Raglan Road
- Taponthego
The final race of the week and the tipster league sees Can’t Bowl. Bat at No.8 have their final Have a Punt in Kopek De Mee running in the Martin Pipe.
The favourite didn’t live up to expectations, finishing out of the frame so once again the punt is unsuccessful, -2 points.
Incredibly, no ‘Have A Punt’ selections went on to win during the week at all!
So let’s see how the final table for the 2025 Tipster League looks:

Congratulations to Top Trotters who are the King Tipsters for the first time since 2020, whilst Sweet Prince finishes runner up after a couple of outstanding days. Bacon had a better run that usual and takes bronze.
SPM27 finish fourth after being unlucky with minus points throughout the week, whilst Money Man Ash performed the best he ever has in the Tipster League to finish 5th.
Despite picking the winner of the Gold Cup, Hellenic Double Champs come in at 6th, whilst debutant’s Pint Please Landlord took a while to warm up.
Mr Slimbridge AFC suffered from a lot of minus points and will be disappointed to finish 8th.
Newcomer Priday and the returning Square Leg were hampered massively by horses failing the finish their race, but avoid being in the bottom two, just.
The Fox and Absolutely Clueless dared to dream, but were unlucky for the first two days and whilst they improved, just couldn’t find their ways back into the race.
Thank you to all of the tipsters for taking part in the 2025 Tipster League and everyone for following the league this year. We will be back again in 2026!
