Hellenic Premier strugglers Pershore Town have made 7-day approaches for Jack Horrell, Luke Finch and Slimbridge winger Shiyak Sutherland, Severn Sport understands.

The Plums, who were one of the title favourites going into the new campaign, have failed to win any of their opening six league games and were dumped out of the FA Cup – in a difficult opening month of the season.

In a bid to try and turn their fortunes around, Pershore have made approaches for a number of players – including the Gloucestershire trio.

Finch and Sutherland played for Longlevens together when now Pershore First Team Coach, CJ Price was at the club, whilst Cirencester midfielder Horrell, is no stranger to the Worcestershire/Herefordshire area following stints at Malvern Town and Worcester Raiders, amongst others.

Frustratingly for Pershore, they have only scored seven goals in all competitions this season – three of which coming in their opening night 3-3 draw at Slimbridge.

Sutherland has impressed throughout the county, following bursting onto the scene with Longlevens two seasons ago.

After leaving Saw Mills for Slimbridge midway through last season, Sutherland had appeared for Bishops Cleeve during pre-season, but choosing to stay with the Swans as they bid to make the top 5 this time around.

Following leaving Longlevens in the summer, Finch was named new Brimscombe & Thrupp Captain after moving to the Meadow.

Finch has appeared in six of the seven games Brimscombe have played so far this season and is set to feature once again in Tuesday night’s home fixture against Thornbury Town.

Horrell returned to the Corinium Stadium during the summer, having played for Worcester Raiders last season. The midfielder provides much needed experience in a young Cirencester squad.

At this stage, it is unsure if any of the players will make the move to Pershore, but approaches have been made.

On the flipside, Pershore have received a 7-day approach from Slimbridge for forward Harlie Price.

Next up for Pershore is the visit of Longlevens on Tuesday 3 September, as the Plums go in search of their first win of the season.
