The finals of the GFA Women’s Challenge Cup and Trophy are set after the Semi Final action this weekend.

Longlevens Ladies will face Bitton Ladies Development in the Women’s Challenge Cup Final on Thursday 11 April, whilst AEK Boco Ladies will take on Cheltenham Town Ladies Reserves in the Women’s Trophy on Thursday 18 April.

After Ellwood Ladies withdrew from the competition after failing to raise a side, Bitton Ladies Development were awarded their Semi Final and the GCWFL Division Three leaders will face Longlevens at Gloucestershire FA HQ in Almondsbury.

Longlevens secured their place in the final with an 11-0 win over Mangotsfield United Reserves at Plock Court.

Hattricks for Olivia Kosylowicz and Lucy Dannatt, alongside goals for Lorraine Smith, Hayley Pitt and Hannah Bingham, plus a brace from Mel Hoad, saw Rob McGeever’s side set up the showdown with Bitton.

In the Women’s Trophy, AEK Boco Ladies came from behind to beat Downend Flyers Women 7-1 in their Semi Final, with braces for Aimee Clark and Emilie Channing-Cone and efforts from Lucy Atkinson, Erin Read and Jodie Hooper seeing Abi Nicholas’ side run out clear winners.

The South West Regional Football League side will face off against Cheltenham Town Ladies Reserves, after Cheltenham’s 1-0 win over Gloucester City at the TigerTurf Stadium, in our featured game.

After a goalless first half, Eloise Harris’ effort with just over 15 minutes left on the clock was enough to see the Robins book their place in the final next month.

In a game that saw Cheltenham in the ascendancy for the most part, a distinct lack of quality kept the game goalless in an even first 45 minutes.

Harris was one of the most positive players on the pitch, alongside Jasmine Lavis and then Una Lue, who replaced Lavis on the hour mark.

Karly Norman and Jess Smith had great chances to double their side’s lead, but ultimately Cheltenham were made to see out the slender lead.

Severn Sport are hoping to be in attendance for both finals, with live coverage throughout!

Both games to take place at Gloucestershire FA HQ with 19:30 kick offs. Subject to change.
