Check out this month’s XI below:

Goalkeeper – Leah Haney-Wilcox (Cirencester Town Ladies) – I was really impressed with Haney-Wilcox in the game against Gloucester City and she made key saves throughout the contest. Really unlucky to have lost the game, but has been on the shortlist for the TOTM since. Narrowly edged out Duane Portlock and Billy Thomas.

Right Back – Adam Foster (Chalford) – It was only when getting a lift home from Broadwell in September, that I actually found out how old Adam is and that makes his performances even more impressive. The experienced defender was outstanding against Gloucester City Devs in the County Cup and slots straight in here.

Centre Back – Ashleigh Lloyd (Longlevens Ladies) – Ashleigh picked up the Player of the Match award for her display against Hereford in September and she continues to go from strength to strength. Was outstanding against Boco, so much so even Boco manager Mike Parry came up to me after the game singing her praises. The ultimate sign of a great display.

Centre Back – Sam Kelly (Longlevens/Hartpury University U18s) – Sam has been fantastic all season. Joining a Longlevens side who have been up against it from day one and not really looking out of place is impressive for someone so young. He has replaced the injured Luke Troke at left back, but has played centre half in the FA Youth Cup for Hartpury – he has had a fantastic October and has stood out in every game we have seen him.

Left Back:- Ryan Outram (Chalford) – It is Chalford at left back too after Outram’s display at Gloucester City Devs. Aggressive going forward and solid defensively. He has been a great signing for Ben Powell’s side and is becoming a very crucial part of the team.

Right Wing – Jake Lowe (Old Richians) – Lowe scored a hattrick in the win vs Dursley Town Reserves and was a constant threat throughout. It was a stunning performance from him and it capped off a really strong start to the season for Old Richians – who are top of the Stroud League and advanced with a big win in the County Cup. Five goals in seven games is a great return.

Centre Midfield – Harry Tustin (Cheltenham Town U18s) – I was really impressed with Tustin in the FA Youth Cup win over Hartpury. Confident on the ball, did jobs at the edges of both boxes and took up some really good positions during the game. He then showed his ability to carry the ball on the counter attack. A name to watch.

Centre Midfield – Isaac Pearce (Bishops Cleeve) – Pearce joins Tustin in the centre of midfield and he was the stand out in the win over Cinderford. In a game that saw a number of players panicked on the ball and sloppy in possession, Pearce provided composure and quality for the Mitres.

Left Wing – Paige Todd (Gloucester City Women)– Paige has been fantastic so far this season and has come on leaps and bounds. She has been used at both left back and left wing and is becoming very consistent in front of goal and her overall output has improved. Could be a massive player for Chris Hill’s side this season.

Striker- Scott Jordan (Tewkesbury Town) – Jordan came off the bench to inspire the comeback. Two assists and a constant threat up top for Tewkesbury. Before he came on, Tredworth weren’t necessarily easing to victory, but they looked comfortable at 2-1 – but Jordan came on, got stuck in and ultimately got the rewards for his side.

Striker – Joey Spill (Dursley Town U18s) – Joey scored a hattrick in the win over Tuffley U18s and drew the plaudits of Sam, who was watching the game. Dursley’s U18s are once again entertaining and impressing in the CYFL these season and Spill will continue to play his part in their title bid.

Here is the XI in full (via a brand new, fancy graphic):

The subs bench includes 7 players to impress over the month and in full, they are below:

Cam Williams (Longlevens)
Lauren Mills (Longlevens Ladies)
Alex Bonthron (Cinderford Town)
Duane Portlock (Chalford)
Sachi Kaneko-Grun (Gloucester City Women)
Chloe Golding (Gloucester City Women)
Alex Roder (Tewkesbury Town)

This month’s team will be managed by Old Richians Manager Rob Lacey after his side produced three massive wins to move to the top of the Stroud League and advance in the County Cup – with a massive shout-out to Bream Amateurs Manager “Coxy” for getting his side up to 2nd in the GNSL Div Two table – winning three in a row in October.

The Severn Sport Team of the Month continues next month – but check out the website later today for the Severn Sport Player of the Month – sponsored by Cirencester Carpet Centre.
