Check out this month’s XI below:

Goalkeeper – Luke Merchant (Tuffley Rovers) – Having Merch back playing is already a massive boost for Tuffley Rovers. He is just quality. He was the outstanding keeper of the Severn Sport Shield and was always going to make the team from there.

Right Back – Fraser Bell (Forest Green Rovers U18s) – One of the best players we saw during the tournament. Very so nearly won Man of the Match for the final, having impressed in both matches he played in. A right back that was comfortable taking the ball through to midfield, it was a great week for him.

Centre Back – Kemall Wilson (Forest Green Rovers U18s) – Similar to Bell, Wilson stood out for both Sam Yapp during the Semi Finals and Butler during the Final. An imposing figure for a young man and wasn’t afraid to get stuck in. A good, solid centre half in the making.

Centre Back – Eli Simpson (Tuffley Rovers) – Eli brings experience and quality to Tuffley this season. Will Joel White departing, Eli fits in well at the back alongside the likes of Macaulay Herbert and Josh Stevens – who we saw during pre-season. Eli is still very energetic and covers the ground quickly. A very good signing.

Left Back – Jamie Lock (Chalford) – One of our new sponsored players for the season and he has hit the ground running – scoring in the 3-3 draw at Longlevens in front of us. Still very good and will have fun in the County League.

Midfield – Ben McLean (Bishops Cleeve) – In the win over Gloucester City, Ben McLean was outstanding. His performance was that good he booked a spot in the TOTM from the very beginning. A top quality player that Cleeve have done well to keep on for the season.

Midfield – Ed Williams (Gloucester City) – A couple of players in the team are already “very good signings” but Ed Williams could be an early shout for Signing of the Season at the End of Season Awards in May. He has the ability to fire City to promotion himself, he is that good.

Midfield – Brad Moore (Chalford) – Brad Moore, similar to Ben McLean, booked his spot in the TOTM following an outstanding performance. He was incredible in the draw against Longlevens and after scoring in the Play-offs the last time we saw him play in May – manager Ben Powell is eager to get Severn Sport watching Chalford again as it brings the best out of Brad!

Right Wing – Jody Bevan (Gloucester City Legends) – The front three come from the Gloucester City Legends, starting with the lightning quick winger….Jody Bevan. Scored two in the Mike Dunstan Trophy and considering he had just returned from an all-inclusive, did well to last 90 minutes in the heat!

Left Wing- Alex Sykes (Gloucester City Legends) – Sykesy was the best player on the pitch in the charity game and scored four on the day. Genuinely hasn’t missed a beat and could still do a job at a decent level. That is the biggest compliment I can give him.

Striker – Lee Smith (Gloucester City Legends) – The GNSL top scorer for last season looked as hungry as ever – even though it was a charity match! Still setting a high standard and looking in great shape ahead of another season at Tredworth.
