Check out this month’s XI below:

Goalkeeper – Leah Whiffen (AEK Boco Ladies) – Whiffen has had a great month for her side. Clean sheet against Gloucester City, before crucial saves to take her side to penalties away at Cirencester Town and then going on to save three in the shoot-out. Outstanding.

Right Back – Brandon Liggett (Gloucester City) – Liggett has been the talk of the TigerTurf after impressing in the early days of his loan spell at Gloucester. He was superb at full back in the win against Scarborough, so much so, he is the first player on the shortlist for Player of the Month.

Centre Back – Jamie Morgan (Tredworth Tigers) – One of the most anticipated matches of February was the showdown between Tredworth and Dursley and I thought Morgan was fantastic at the back, whilst taking his goal very well.

Centre Back – Sean Monday (Dursley Town) – Like Morgan, Monday was great in the defensive third for Dursley, as well as getting up to nod home an equaliser for his side.

Left Back – Erin Read (AEK Boco Ladies) – Erin Read is the second player on the shortlist for Player of the Month after two stand-out performances this month. She was solid defensively in both matches, as well as getting forward to support the attack where possible. I mentioned on commentary how impressed I had been with her development since pre-season and it’s been great to see.

Right Midfield -Amelia Dudding (Cirencester Town Ladies) – Dudding was one of the best players on the park during the County Cup game with Boco and she was a constant threat down the right hand side. An easy choice!

Centre Midfield – Lucy Scrannage (Cirencester Town Ladies) – Scrannage is another player who continues to improve everytime we see her play and once again, she showed her versatility by playing in a number of positions during the game against Boco.

Centre Midfield – Alex Knight (Longlevens U18s) – Knight has been one of the players to impress me the most this season, so far, and he has produced key performances for both the U18s and the Reserves side at Longlevens and is only getting better.

Left Midfield – Blaine Waugh (Cinderford Town) – Waugh took his goal well in the win at Longlevens and continues to be consistent for the Foresters. Blaine is a fantastic player and is a real asset for Cinderford to have as they hunt the play-offs in the Hellenic Premier.

Striker – Tyrel Roberts (Tuffley Rovers Development) – After seeing Tyrel play for Tuffley U18s over the years, it was great to see him leading the line for Tuffley Devs in their County Cup tie against Longlevens. Two well taken goals and an overall solid performance was enough to make the team.

Striker – Jacob Chamberlain (Longlevens U18s) – Chamberlain is the third player on the shortlist for Player of the Month after two Man of the Match performances for Longlevens U18s. Three goals over the two games and two great showings made it an easy selection for the XI.

Here is the XI in full:

As always, we have a substitute bench full of players who narrowly missed out on the XI. The bench is:

Millie Lacey (AEK Boco Ladies)
Jack Cornell (Longlevens Reserves)
Raya Langford (Bristol Ladies Union)
Scarlett Boyce (Cirencester Town Ladies)
Tom Black (Brimscombe & Thrupp)
Callum McLean (Longlevens U18s)
Dan Barnard (Cinderford Town)

This month’s team will be managed by Cheltenham Saracens boss Ryan Betteridge after a month that has seen them claim five league wins in Hellenic League Division One, as well as securing a spot in the Semi Final of the GFA Challenge Trophy.

Betteridge edges out Viney St Swithins boss Daryl Addis – who also oversaw a good month!
