As usual, the Player of the Month shortlist is made up of three players included in the Team of the Month for that month – check out March’s Team of the Month here.
The winner is presented with the award and an image of them receiving the POTM trophy is then shared on Severn Sport’s social media during the following month.
Some of last season’s winners included Longlevens winger Shiyak Sutherland, Gloucester City Women Development Captain, Nicole Lewis, Slimbridge winger Rudi McKinnon and Chalford duo Ben Minnican and Luke Benneyworth.
The first Player of the Month of the season was Hartpury University’s Riley McGregor, whilst Claire Gabb of Gloucester City Women Reserves won the award for September and Longlevens defender Sam Kelly won the award for October.
Jacob Rodgers from Slimbridge was awarded the trophy for December, Toby Boakes of Longlevens U18s was awarded November’s accolade and Hartpury’s winger Ben Baxter picked up the award for January,
February’s award was presented to Longlevens U18s forward Henry Driver-Dickerson.
So let’s check out this month’s shortlist

Cam Williams (Longlevens) – Williams had an outstanding month. Scoring in a Man of the Match display against Fairford and producing impressive performances against both Brimscombe & Thrupp and Malmesbury, his strong end to the season continues – crucially for his side.
Phil Chovanec (Brockworth Albion) – It is sometimes hard to really compare U18s football to Men’s and players who do well in U18s football don’t always step up into adult football and flourish. Phil put in a superb display against Dursley and really showed the benefits of a young man playing in such a tough, hard-hitting league.
Joey Spill (Dursley Town U18s) – Spill has been fantastic all season and against Longlevens he put in the near perfect striker’s performance. He set the tone with his goal and just how hard he worked for his side. He was one of the players on the day that didn’t deserve to be on the losing side and the justice was that he wasn’t.
The Severn Sport Player of the Month will be back next month – so check out our social media throughout the month to find out who won this month’s trophy!
