Severn Sport are delighted to announce that we will be sponsoring the Cheltenham Youth Football League’s U18s Floodlit league cup for the 2024/25 season.

Currently known as the S Turier & Son Cup, with their sponsorship coming to an end this season, the cup will be renamed the Severn Sport Cup for next season.

Alongside the name change, the draws for the Severn Sport Cup will be aired on next season’s Buttee’s For Breakfast shows and will be conducting under guidance from the league as part of the deal.

Butler met up with the league’s Stu Evans at this season’s cup final to confirm the sponsorship.

Speaking about the sponsorship, the CYFL’s Referee’s Appointments Officer and Committee Member, Garry Collier said:

“Given their dedication and passion towards local football, we’re delighted for Severn Sport to agree to sponsor our U18s Floodlit Cup competition.

We hope that this new chapter allows our league to continue to flourish and for the football community to continue supporting our member clubs.”

Butler added:

“Between myself, Kelsey, Sam and Josh, we have covered the CYFL U18s Floodlit League over the last few years and we have all enjoyed the quality and competitiveness of the league.

The league has played host to some incredible players and even this year, continued to showcase the talents of some the brightest U18s players in the county.

For the cup to be named the Severn Sport Cup for next season is massive and I’d like to think it makes a statement about where Severn Sport is as a whole and I am extremely proud.

Also, the fact the league have been so excited and understanding about the cup draws being put out on the Breakfast Show will hopefully take the competition and league to another level in terms of exposure online and on social media as well as, hopefully, interactions with the local football community.”
