Cirencester Town defender Kyle Pitts says his side are looking to maintain their good form as they look for a strong end to the season.
Pitts re-joined the club in January and the Centurions have been in scintillating form – winning four of their last six in all competitions and they have kept three clean sheets in their last three league matches.
The run has helped take Ciren to 15th place in the Hellenic Premier table and most importantly, after a tough start to the season, they are now 18 points clear of the relegation places.
Pitts returned to the Corinium Stadium having previously played for the club and the defender told Severn Sport that it has been easy to settle in following the move.
“It’s been really easy for me to settle in having played for Ciren before to be honest, as a lot of the same people are still involved with the club.
The lads have been great and knowing a couple of them already made the transition easier. Everyone has made me feel very welcome,” said Pitts.

With Pitts coming back to the club, it has coincided with a great run for Ciren, both in results and being defensively sounder and with eight games left in the league and after a penalty shoot-out win over Highworth Town on Monday night, Ciren are still left in the two league cup competitions.
And with confidence rising at the Corinium, Pitts has praised his side for their hard work and says that the rest of the season is about seeing what they can achieve together.
“The mood in the camp is a good one and that’s because everyone’s hard work is paying off,” said Pitts. “The results, along with keeping clean sheets, fills everyone with confidence to keep the momentum going into the next fixture.
“The aim is to keep as many clean sheets as possible to help the team pick up as many points as we can between now and the end of the season.
Plus we are still in two cup competitions, so it would be good to see how far we can go in those,” Pitts added.
Next up for Cirencester is the visit of Roman Glass St George this weekend, before Pitts returns to Malmesbury Victoria with Ciren on Tuesday night.
