Hellenic League Fixtures: Gloucestershire derbies aplenty in opening month of the season
The opening month’s fixtures of the 2024/25 Hellenic League season have been confirmed, with a typically busy opening for all of our sides.
Once again, we head into a Hellenic Premier season with 8 Gloucestershire sides and even though we are only down to 5 sides in Division One, the opening month also sees a number of our sides playing each other.
The headlines of the Hellenic League’s opening fixture sees Fairford Town head to Royal Wootton Bassett Town, whilst newly promoted side, Hartpury University, host Westfields on Tuesday 30 July.
Slimbridge have a mouth-watering opener at home to Pershore Town, whilst Longlevens begin on Wednesday 31 July with a home game against Worcester Raiders.
With the Premier sides in FA Cup action on Saturday 3 August, Division One kicks off that afternoon – with Newent Town, Shortwood United and Stonehouse Town at home to Droitwich Spa, FC Stratford and Chipping Sodbury Town respectively.
Cheltenham Saracens head to Tytherington Rocks in their opening league fixture.
There are gaps in the fixtures on 17th, 24th and 31st August for FA Cup and FA Vase action.
Longlevens host Tuffley and Slimbridge host Lydney in the August Bank Holiday Monday games.
