Speaking about the latest nominees to come completely from the public nominations, Butler had this to say:

“Hartpury have done fantastic to achieve what they have this season – partly down to the fact that this young side have had to deal with expectation.

Everyone expected Longworth’s side to win the league, but as we all know, the hardest part is actually getting over the line.

The team will make a great addition to the Hellenic Premier next season and from a local point of view it is great that we still maintain seven sides in the division.

King and Ben were players I knew and had seen before this season, so am I surprised that they have performed at the high level they have been? Absolutely not.

Riley and Josh are players I was seeing for the first time this season and they easily impressed during a successful campaign. Both made nearly 40 appearances at step 6 level – which will only do them good, regardless of the results.

It is always great to check in with Martin on how the project of Hartpury University FC is going and his passion runs throughout the club and wider program.”

Check back tomorrow morning when we will be announcing the next batch of nominees in this year’s End of Season Awards!
