The GFA have announced a new partnership with leading machine supplier, T H White, to help offer clubs access funding and equipment to be used for pitch maintenance.

T H White Groundcare specialises in maintaining community and high-performance sports pitches, drawing on decades of experience across schools, grassroots clubs and professional venues. They provide expert sales advice and outstanding after-sales support.

T H White supply tractors, mowers and plenty more from some of the globe’s most renowned groundcare brands such as Iseki, Toro, Wessex, Kress and GKB – all of these are available with 75% funding from the Football Foundation.

The partnership will see T H White work to support Gloucestershire FA affiliated clubs with access to Football Foundation funding and after a quick pitch assessment, the clubs will receive professional advice on their eligibility and funding options.

Mike Harris and Stuart Fry from the firm will act as designated reps for GFA affiliated sides, with Harris taking care of North Gloucester and Fry Bristol & South Gloucestershire.

In a press release from the GFA, Commercial Manager Matt Liddle has welcomed the partnership.

“We are absolutely delighted to welcome T H White as a partner for the long term.

Their commitment and professionalism has been evident from the off and we are sure that Gloucestershire’s clubs, pitches and players will benefit for years to come.”

This partnership will see T H White and the GFA team up to support clubs through at least the 2027/28 season, with T H White also sponsoring the GFA’s annual Grounds Team of the Year award during each of the next three seasons.

T H White will work to support GFA events, sharing their groundcare expertise and knowledge and offer a series of demonstration events throughout the partnership to showcase their equipment range in action at grass roots clubs across our territory.

T H White’s Commercial Director, James Ashworth, expressed his excitement at working with the GFA and their affiliated clubs.

“We are excited to partner with the GFA to help our customers get the best from their sports and recreational spaces whilst also delivering real cost savings.

We understand just how important a high-performance playing surface is.  That’s why we not only supply the right equipment to create top-quality pitches, we also provide unrivalled aftersales to look after it for its lifetime.”

And GFA Football Development Officer (Facilities and Investment, Rosie Pike, has encouraged sides to take a look into access to the grants and says she hopes this partnership will help raise awareness of some of the grants available to grassroots football clubs.

“T H White share our passion for improving pitches. Not enough clubs are aware of the machinery funding that they can access – we hope to change that and empower more clubs to get their hands on some of the fantastic machinery that T H White has available.

These grants can be surprisingly quick and easy to obtain and we urge all clubs to get in touch for a chat.”
