The Gloucestershire County Women’s Football League have confirmed their constitution for the 2024/25 season, with the league expanding to forty teams, made up of four divisions of ten.

Following an influx of new sides applying to join the league, the league has also re-shuffled the pack to try and ensure the new sides are playing at the right level to make sure all four divisions remain as competitive as possible.

In Division One, after Cirencester Town Ladies clinched the title, they have been replaced by the relegated duo Mangotsfield United Women and Bristol Brunel Women – the new name for Bristol Rovers Women Development.

Longlevens Ladies have been promoted, whilst both Longwell Green Sports and Tuffley Rovers Ladies have been relegated to Division Two and Three respectively.

In Division Two, City of Gloucester Women and Bitton Ladies Development have been promoted, whilst Abbeymead Rovers Ladies, Downend Flyers Women Reserves and Cheltenham Town Ladies Development will have been relegated into Division Three – with Forest Green Rovers Development joining the league.

Division Two also includes North Bristol Wanderers, who are another name change, with Red Falcon Women changing name for the new season.

Last season’s Division Three has effectively been split, to allow the new sides to join Division Three and Four for the new campaign.
