FA Cup coming to Gloucestershire after a number of home ties in early round draws
Seven of our local sides have been drawn at home in the 2024/25 FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round, including Tuffley Rovers, Longlevens, Hartpury University and a mouth-watering local derby.
As usual, the Extra Preliminary Round takes place on the first Saturday of August (Saturday 3 August) and after the early rounds have been published, we have a whole host of games to enjoy across the county.
Both Tuffley Rovers and Longlevens will be hosting ties in Gloucester, with Kidlington and Winslow United the respective visitors.
Elsewhere, both of the Forest of Dean sides Lydney Town and Cinderford Town, have been drawn at home – with the visitors Thornbury Town and Nailsea & Tickenham.
Southern League side, Evesham Untied, welcome Newcastle Town to the Jubilee Stadium, whilst Hartpury University host Risborough Rangers.
The stand-out Extra Preliminary Round tie sees Fairford Town and Cirencester Town meet at Cinder Lane in a local derby.
The winner of that tie could host Hartpury in the Preliminary Round, whilst Bishops Cleeve could host Lydney, if they beat Highworth Town and Lydney beat Thornbury.
Other than Cleeve’s draw, the other away draws see Brimscombe & Thrupp heading to Virginia Water and Slimbridge head to Malmesbury Victoria.
