Cirencester secure first win of the season with victory at Cinderford Town

Cirencester Town secured their first win of the season, with a 4-1 victory away at fellow Gloucestershire side Cinderford Town.
Goals from Theo Jeremy and Harlie Price saw the Centurions lead 2-0 at the break, before substitute Nick Peare added a third following Lewis Powell’s effort for Cinderford.
Then in injury time, Frazer Bell pounced on an error to go through on goal, before rounding Lewis Adams and tapping home a fourth.
The result gives Ciren their first win after seven league matches, whilst Cinderford now boast a 3-2-3 record from their first eight league matches.
Both sides have tough fixtures next weekend, with Cirencester hosting Mangotsfield whilst Cinderford head to Hereford Pegasus.
The game itself saw both sides create early chances, with Ryan Hillier having a ball across goal was cleared, before Theo Jeremy stung the palms of Lewis Adams.
Cirencester thought they had an opener on 24 minutes when Adams fumbled a ball forward and after trying to retrieve the ball, it squirmed free.
Price slotted home, only for a harsh foul to be awarded against the visitors.
But three minutes later, the deadlock was broken as Jeremy was allowed time and space on the edge of the box before rifling a low effort past Adams.
Frazer Bell should have added a second before half time, but blazed over after cutting in from the left side of the box.
But the Centurions did grab their second in injury time, as Price turned in the box and fired beyond Adams after Ishmail Yakubu sliced a ball up into the air on the edge of the box.

The second half needed to be better for Cinderford and it was. They played with more intent and quality on the ball, but the Ciren back line stood firm in the early going.
Kian Davies fired over for the Foresters, before an Adam Davies free kick was flicked on but flew beyond the black and white shirts at the back post.
Cinderford did reduce arrears with twenty minutes remaining as Davies’ cross was taken down and blasted home by Lewis Powell.
Ciren should have added a third with ten minutes left, but Harrison Reeves was denied by a strong palm low to his left by Adams, but the keeper couldn’t keep out a long range Nick Peare effort just three minutes later.
Peare let fly from a good 30 yards and the effort bounced past Adams and into the bottom corner.
And in injury time, Bell leapt on a poor touch at the back, went through on goal before rounding Adams and sealing the deal for his side.
It was a deserved three points for the visitors, with centre back duo Ed Scott and Kyle Pitts tough to breakdown.
