Nathan Esson, the man behind Silenttek FC, believes the newly formed side could put Gloucestershire on the map for YouTube and social media content.
Former Forest Green youth player Esson has put together a brand new club who will play in the Gloucestershire Sunday League in the 2021/22 season as well as playing as a 6-a-side team in the Leisure League at Meadow Park.
Joining us on Saturday’s Buttee’s For Breakfast, Esson described the team as the “England squad of Gloucestershire players” and that they have “no weaknesses” in both the 11-a-side and 6-a-side formats.
Players who played the club’s first friendly last weekend, a 5-0 win, include Cinderford Town’s Lewis Spurrier, Slimbridge’s Jay Malshanskyj and Tuffley Rovers’ Miles Ferguson – as well as having former Gloucester City forward Karnell Chambers in their ranks.
Esson explained the premise of the club which is to upload content as regularly as possible to all forms of social media and the club’s designated YouTube channel.
