Severn Sport End of Season Awards 23/24 – Coming Soon!
As the season approaching the final few weeks, the fun is just beginning for Severn Sport – with the launch of the 2023/24 Severn Sport End of Season Awards!
On Buttee’s For Breakfast this weekend, Butler revealed that the awards radio show will be taking place on Sunday 26 May (when hopefully the weather is better!)
This year, we have made changes to the list of categories de to our expanded coverage for the season. The categories are:
Signing of the Season
Game of the Season
Manager of the Season
Team of the Season
Breakthrough Player of the Season
Severn Sport Live Player of the Season
Match Official of the Season
Kinetic Goalkeeping Goalkeeper of the Season
John Ashplant Local Hero Award
Best Social Media Account
Jamie Hyett Award (U18s Player of the Season)
Severn Sport Future Star
Men’s Player of the Season
Women’s Player of the Season
Grassroots Player of the Season
The main changes are the removal of the GNSL and GCWFL Specific categories, with the Player of the Season award now split into three, Men’s, Women’s and Grassroots.
The Grassroots Player of the Season will be open to players who play at step 7 and below in the men’s pyramid and tier 5 and below of the women’s pyramid.
Other key information includes:
Nominations open on Monday 15 April and will close at the end of Tuesday 30 April.
We will then be announcing a nominee-a-day in May in the lead up to the live show on 26 May.
