Sunday 10 November – Gloucester City Women 5-0 Purton Women

Saturday 16 November – Gloucester City 0-2 Bracknell Town
Sunday 17 November – Gloucester City Women Reserves 5-0 Tuffley Rovers Ladies
Wednesday 20 November – Longlevens 0-1 Highworth Town
Sunday 24 November – Gloucester City Womwn 9-0 SGS Olveston United Women
Tuesday 26 November – Tuffley Rovers 7-3 Lydney Town
Saturday 30 November – Cheltenham Civil Service 2-1 Chalford
Saturday 30 November – Dursley Town 0-4 Brockworth Albion

Check out this month’s XI below:

Goalkeeper – Jon Dix (Cheltenham Civil Service) – November saw three keepers make the shortlist, with Tuffley Rovers Ladies’ Caitlin Stokes and Chalford’s Sam Neale edged out by a Jon Dix, who was outstanding in the game vs Chalford. He and Neale split the MOTM on the day, but his outrageous save just before the winner was crucial.

Right Back – Dan Roddis (Longlevens) – Dan Roddis was the best right back I saw throughout the month, providing Longlevens with an outlet going forward, whilst being his usual solid self at the back. The other right back to make the list was Sam Jackson of Civvy.

Centre Back – Toby Boakes (Longlevens U18s) – Boakes plays in goal for Longlevens Reserves side, yet put in an unbelievable performance at centre half against Gloucester City. It was up there with one of the best defensive displays I have seen this season.

Centre Back – Rubie Leeman (Gloucester City Women Reserves) – Leeman’s centre back partner Claire Gabb won the POTM for October and Rubie has been just as good this season. As part of an amazing City Women Reserves side, she oozes class and has shown ability in different areas of the pitch.

Left Back:- Anais Trinci (Cheltenham Town Women) – Trinci was named Player of the Match in Cheltenham Town Women’s FA Cup win over Yeovil and really impressed Abi on the day. The best left back we saw over the month.

Right Wing – Archie Myatt (Lydney Town) – Despite a heavy defeat at Tuffley, Myatt really impressed me. He deserved a goal for his efforts and showed he is a player with plenty of talent and hopefully experience of playing step 5 football will see him grow as a player.

Centre Midfield – Mirry Smith (Gloucester City Women Reserves) – Smith has been super consistent this season and her output has been astonishing. Goals and assists during the month and has also stepped up to impress for the First Team as well.

Centre Midfield – Kieran Alder (Tuffley Rovers) – Whilst Karnell Chambers got all the plaudits for the win over Lydney, I felt that Alder really stood out one of the better players on the night. Almost back to his old self. He is a key player for Rovers and is crucial for their season’s ambitions.

Left Wing – Matty Cairns (Brockworth Albion) – Cairns scored two big goals in the win over Dursley and put in a massive performance for his side, impressing Sam in the process. He hasn’t been quite as prolific as we know he can be, but he still scores crucial goals.

Striker- Karnell Chambers (Tuffley Rovers) – Karnell continues to be one of the most clinical forwards within Gloucestershire and his four goals against Lydney were all kinds of finishes. A lot of Tuffley’s ambitions rest on his shoulders, but when he is at his best, he has shown he can live up to that expectation.

Striker – Ash Bird (Brockworth Albion) – I was delighted to read that Ash Bird had put in a great performance in the game against Dursley. Scoring goals and grabbing assists, Bird played his part in a memorable win for Albion, moving on to 13 goals in 13 games this campaign.

Here is the XI in full (via a brand new, fancy graphic):

The subs bench includes 7 players to impress over the month and in full, they are below:

Sachi Kaneko-Grun (Gloucester City Women)
Sam Neale (Chalford)
Harry Emmett (Gloucester City)
Harley Mustoe (Tuffley Rovers)
Sam Jackson (Cheltenham Civil Service)
Callum Dark (Slimbridge)
Ryan Ponting (Slimbridge/Dursley Town)

This month’s team will be managed by Whaddon United’s Elliot Sheerin after an exceptional month, which saw them secure three massive wins in GNSL Division One and knocking out an opponent from the league above in the County Cup during a very positive November.

The Severn Sport Team of the Month continues next month – but check out the website later today for the Severn Sport Player of the Month – sponsored by Cirencester Carpet Centre.
