Longlevens Ladies were beaten but not out-classed despite losing 4-0 away at Hereford Women in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.

In a game that saw Levens create a number of chances, particularly in the first half, ultimately came up short against a very well drilled Hereford side.

After a goalless opening 29 minutes, Mia Sherrard converted from 12 yards following a foul in the box.

Two goals in the space of about five minutes from Robyn Mear and Amelia Griffith saw Hereford three goals to the good at the break, which was harsh on the visitors.

Sherrard added a second inside the opening sixty seconds of the second half and with the rain picking up as the half wore on, neither side could add to the scoring on a tough afternoon.
