Reg Davis Cup: Brockworth to start at Bibury, Hardwicke host Painswick & Rodborough head to Bicknor
The draw for the 2024 renewal of the Reg Davis Cup has been released by the Gloucestershire Northern Senior League, with last season’s winners, Brockworth Albion, set to start their defence away to Bibury.
Albion lifted the cup with a 2-1 win over Tredworth Tigers back in October, and Jamie Martin & Joel White’s side face a tricky test in defence of their crown.
The winner of Bibury vs Brockworth will go on to host the winner of Mushet & Coalway Utd vs Frampton United Reserves.
Last season’s beaten finalists Tredworth have been drawn at home to Lydney Town Reserves with the winner of Bream vs Winchcombe Town awaiting the winner in the Second Round.
Elsewhere in the First Round, which is set to be played on Saturday 3 August, newly promoted Painswick have been drawn away to relegated side, Hardwicke.
Another eye-catching opening tie sees English Bicknor drawn at home to newly promoted Division One side, Rodborough Old Boys.
