New Gloucester City full back Jack Senior scored on his debut and put in a man of the match display in the Tigers’ 2-2 draw with Kettering Town, then spoke to Severn Sport about his new club.
The former Luton Town man endeared himself to City fans with an incredible opening 15 minutes, a quarter of an hour that saw him intercept Kettering attacks, put in two full bloodied challenges and break the dead lock on 12 minutes.
After some great work by Fabien Robert and then fellow new signing Daniel Sweeney down the right, the ball was hung up behind Marlon Jackson and Senior volleyed home from just inside the box.
Kettering levelled through Aaron O’Connor from the spot before a Mathew Taylor free kick had put the visitors in front before an 86th Robert head saw the points shared in a decent game at the Jubilee Stadium.
Following the game, which saw Senior named both Gloucester City fans and Severn Sport’s man of the match, Senior spoke to Severn Sport exclusively about his performance, his goal and his decision to join the club.
