In just over 24 hours at the time of writing all eyes with be on Saw Mills for the Longlevens vs E.G. Carter charity match, including us here at Severn Sport.
The match is the main event of a day of fundraising at the Gloucester based club, with other charity events taking place from half three at their Longford Lane clubhouse.
All proceeds from the day will be going to Children With Cancer UK and The James Hopkins Trust.
Along with Longlevens players and E.G. Carter employees the teams will line up with celebrities, both locally and nationally.
They are joined by ex-EastEnders actor Matt Lapinskas, members of the male team on ITV2’s Survival of the Fittest and also Severn Sport’s own Kelsey De Maria and Tyrell Foster, who line up for the E.G. Carter side.
The management team’s in charge of both sides have also been confirmed and its a battle of the heavyweights as Longlevens will be lead by current first team Assistant Manager Craig Martin and former player Richard Workman of RW Fitness. The E.G. Carter XI will be marshalled by Longlevens first team Manager Mark Moore and Severn Sport’s Ryan Butler….Craig Martin won’t know what’s hit him!
We encourage everyone to come on down and enjoy the first weekend of summer in the right fashion, with a competitive and entertaining match raising money for two wonderful causes.
