Stonehouse Town manager Phil Orsborn says he believes a top 6 finish is a realistic aim for the club in their debut Hellenic League season.
Stonehouse, who were promoted from the County League into the Hellenic League, currently sit in 11th place out of 16 with 15 games left and are currently 9 points behind 6th placed Hereford Lads Club in the Division One West.
Ahead of their derby fixture with Shortwood United this weekend, Orsborn told Severn Sport that a top 6 finish would be a “fantastic acehievement for the club.”
Orsborn joined the club over the summer and has praised his side, his coaching staff and club committee for the all of the support over the first half of the season so far during his appearance on Severn Sport on Dean Radio.
On the show Orsborn discusses Stonehouse’s eye catching 1-0 win at Clanfield on Tuesday night, which has seen his side reach the Quarter Finals of the Bluefin Sports Supplementary Cup in their first season in the Hellenic League.
He also praises Saturday’s opposition Shortwood and tells us that he hopes for a bumper crowd at Oldends Lane for the fixture, as the hosts will look to avenge the 2-1 defeat at Meadowbank in October.
Also on the show we are joined by Brimscombe & Thrupp manager Sam Prior, who previews our featured game this weekend against Holmer Green at The Meadow.
Prior talks finding consistency and his aims for the rest of the season, as well as praising young talent Jamie Bremner for recent performances.
