Orsborn and Logan-Giles step down from roles at Stonehouse Town

Phil Orsborn and Ian Logan-Giles have stepped down from their roles as Manager and Assistant Manager at Stonehouse Town.

The duo, who took the reigns at Oldends Lane last summer have decided to leave the Hellenic League Division One West side after a season in charge of the club.

Orsborn took to social media on Thursday evening to confirm he would be stepping down as manager after guiding Stonehouse to 11th in the table before the season was suspended in March.

In the statement, Orsborn says:

“Unfortunately things didn’t work out at Stonehouse Town and I resigned from my position as First Team Manager last night.

It is a great club and I would like to think we have left with the club in a good place and I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with some great people and players and wish them all the very best for the next season.”

Orsborn goes on to say that he and Logan-Giles will be looking for a new project together for the 2020/21 season, along with coach and physio Alex Giles de Brincat.

The departures come just months after Stonehouse confirmed that Logan-Giles would also be assisting with the newly registered U18s side next season.

Severn Sport understands that Stonehouse Town will be holding a committee meeting on Friday and will be making an announcement in due course.
