Gloucester City defender Ben Morgan has praised his teammates for their reaction to a “tough couple of months” as well as their reaction to come from 2-0 down to beat Kidderminster Harriers 3-2 at Meadow Park.
Goals from Keanu Marsh-Brown and Matt McClure cancelled out early strikes from Ethan Freemantle and Sam Austin as it had looked like being a long afternoon for the hosts.
Morgan himself was unlucky to have not put his name on the scoresheet, with three golden opportunities spurned by the former Bristol Rovers man.
After Gloucester City dominated long spells of the second half it was left to Coventry City loanee Jordan Young to produce a moment of brilliance to win City all three points, as he curled in a 25 yard free kick to win it.
The win sees Gloucester remain 7 points clear at the top of the National League North table having played one game more than second placed Chester.
Morgan spoke to Severn Sport after the game and emphasised just how big a result that was for his side.
