Longlevens duo complete Severn Sport sponsored players for 2020/21 season

Longlevens pair Kane Winman and Brad Martin have been confirmed as players sponsored by Severn Sport for the 2020/21 season.

As always we look to give back to Gloucestershire football and once again we have committed to sponsoring a number of players in the county.

After initially sponsoring Sam Turl before he departed Cinderford Town, our sponsorship with the Foresters is now aligned with new signing, Tristan Haswell.

Along with Haswell, over the weekend during a Twitter conversation between ourselves, Non-League Bible and Altriplan we collectively bid £110 to sponsor Warren Mann of Tuffley Rovers – with all proceeds going to the charity Heart Heroes.

And now the sponsorship has also been confirmed for both Martin and Winman after Longlevens opened up player sponsorship for the 2020/21 season.

Head of Programming at Severn Sport Ryan Butler has had his say on the sponsorships:

For the last few years Kelsey and I have always looked to sponsor player(s) in the county, even way back when as Tigers Radio we still sponsored a player so to be in a position where we can sponsor a number of players shows our dedication to giving back to Gloucestershire football.

With Tristan already being sponsored by us when the Tweet came out from Tuffley saying that Warren needed sponsoring we thought we would at least start the conversation.

The fact money has been raised for a good cause along the way makes it worth while!

When it comes to the Longlevens sponsorship, manager Craig Martin pretty much gave us first choice and even though we have a strong bond and friendship with a number of the Levens players, the choice was easy.

Brad, in my opinion, is the best striker in the Hellenic Premier so we were always going to be picking him and as everyone knows Kane is a great friend to Severn Sport having been on commentary with us for games last season.

If I had the money I would have sponsored a number of the guys at Longlevens!

Along with the sponsorship for Winman and Martin, both Kelsey and Ryan have committed to performance based additions.

Ryan has committed to paying £1 a goal scored by Martin in all competitions and £1 for every Winman clean sheet in the 2020/21 campaign, whilst Kelsey has said he will pay £5 per clean sheet if Winman keeps 15 clean sheets during the season.
