Saturday afternoon saw Gloucester City play their first men’s team match at Meadow Park for 13 years and they drew 3-3 with Hungerford Town in a pre-season friendly, after being 3-0 up with just 5 minutes to go.
Gavin Gunning’s first half penalty was added to by two goals from a Trialist for City before the break and it saw Gloucester cruising at 3-0 in the club’s final pre-season friendly.
And the hosts were comfortable until Luke Pennell dwelled on the ball in the box and Hungerford dispossessed him before giving themselves hope.
Pennell was then beaten to the ball by Hungerford’s Graham, who calmly slotted home to make it 3-2.
Then after a quick counter Hungerford snatched a draw that seemed unlikely for the 87 minutes prior.
