Stuart Liddington has been appointed Lydney Town First Team Manager.
Liddington takes up the position he held during Lydney’s most successful period after being involved with the club for the majority of his life.
During his previous stint as Manager the club went on to lift the Gloucestershire Northern Senior League, County League and Hellenic League Division One titles in successive seasons.
Liddington then became Mark Lee’s Assistant Manager before stepping down in 2019 and then returning to the fold to support Rich Kear in April.
In a statement from the club it says:
“Lydney Town are confident that Stuart will continue the steady progress we have made in achieving and consolidating our place at Step 5 in the NLS and look forward to challenging for honours in the next few years.
Stuart has already indicated the formation of his management team with Peter Macklin as Assistant Manager, Jack Rutter as First Team Head Coach and finally Richard Thomas as Assistant Coach.
We would like to wish them all the best for the coming season.“
Lydney have also confirmed the appointment of Joe Dallow as the new Manager of the Under 18s side who will be entering the Cheltenham Youth Floodlit League next season.
Dallow is currently studying a masters degree in Football Coaching and Performance and holds a UEFA B licence. He was also an integral part of the First Team coaching stage in the last two seasons so is no stranger to the club.
