Gloucestershire sides to be at home in FA Vase First Round

Brimscombe & Thrupp, Longlevens and Tuffley Rovers have found out their opposition for the FA Vase First Round this lunchtime – with both sides given home ties!

Tuffley earned their place in the draw with a 3-2 win over Fleet Spurs on their return to Glevum Park for the first time in almost a year.

Goals from Joe Shutt and Jacob Geddes, along with an own goal, saw Rich Cox’s side win the game and make the First Round for the first time since the 2016/17 season.

Tuffley will host Street at Glevum Park in the next round.

Longlevens had a busy Sunday after winning 3-1 at Sandhurst Town following a two hour wait on the M4 due to their coach breaking down.

In the game Ethan Dunbar, Brad Martin and Will Emery scored as they ran out comfortable winners. Levens have now made the First Round of the FA Vase for five seasons in a row.

Longlevens will host Shaftesbury at Saw Mills on 23rd October.

Brimscombe & Thrupp enter the competition at this stage after last season’s run in the Vase.

The winners of the First Round ties will receive £825 prize money, with the losers winning £250.
