Gloucestershire Football Results – Saturday 3rd August

Wow are we glad that football is back! Today marked the opening afternoon of the 2019/20 season and it didn’t disappoint. 

There were wins for Forest Green and Gloucester City, whilst Cheltenham were beaten 1-0 at newly promoted Leyton Orient.

In the Hellenic Premier there were big away wins for Longlevens, Fairford Town and Lydney Town – whilst both Brimscombe & Thrupp and Bishops Cleeve were beaten by Binfield and Ardley United respectively.

The first round of the Reg Davis Cup saw our Gloucestershire Northern Senior League sides play their first competitive game of the season, a week before their league campaigns begin.
